Exhibition of drawings in Ovchi-Kalacha
Within the framework of the project “Peace and cooperation begins with us”, a contest of drawings was announced in February in all target schools of Isfara town and B. Gafurov district. The aim of this project was to develop the creative potential of schoolchildren through the prism of friendship, mutual understanding and tolerance.
In their drawings, children were able to express their thoughts, ideas, images, could show their understanding about the “border” and “friendship without borders”.
At the beginning of March, 5 drawings were collected from each school. The Grant Commission, which consisted of representatives of the Education Department of Sughd region, selected 16 best drawings. A similar contest was held in Kyrgyzstan.
On March 18 of this year, the first exhibition was held in Ovchi-Kalacha jamoat, where representatives of local government, directors and pupils of schools and local residents were present. This was a great step towards seeing the situation through the eyes of children and feeling the problem through out of the heart.
On March 22, the exhibition was held in the Vorukh jamoat, where local residents celebrated Navruz holiday. All those people who were present at the festival did not disregard the work of young artists and appreciated the meaningfulness and significance of these works. Representatives of the jamoat, representatives of the Hukumat of Isfara town, teachers and school directors, pupils and residents of Vorukh jamoat, as well as guests from Kyrgyzstan who were invited to the party participated in the event.
On the day of the exhibition, the winners of the contest were presented with memorable gifts from representatives of the Association of scientific and technical intelligentsia of Tajikistan.
One of the contest winners Safarova Dilagez on the question what friendship means for you answered as follows: “Friendship for me is first of all mutual understanding, this is the desire to accept people as they are and very glad to be able to convey their friendly message”.
