Seminar on “Basic background of Journalism”

Within the framework of the project “Peace and cooperation begins with us” with the financial support of UNICEF from 20 to 24 January 2017, at the Training Center of the National Bank of Tajikistan in Guliston town a workshop on “Basic background of Journalism” was held for 20 young people from bordering Jamoats of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. The objectives of this event were to create optimal conditions for social and creative self-realization of children living in the border areas, and their intellectual development. Also before the trainers were set aims to train teenagers the basics of journalistic skills and the skills of creation and reproduction of media materials, through the reproduction of 20 media materials on the subject of Friendship of Peoples, social cohesion, peace, community culture and good neighborliness.

The workshop was conducted by trainers from Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. Within five days children were taught the basics of internet journalism and shooting social videos. Also, PO ASTI organized excursion in Khujand city for participants, where the participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with the sights of the city. At the school №8 of Ovchi-Kalacha jamoat of B. Gafurov district, guys created the “Park of Friendship”, where they planted 10 planting stock. To write internet articles and create clips guys had the opportunity to travel to the community, where they talked with the director of the school, with the chairman of mahalla committee, interviewed Kyrgyz – seller in the Tajik market, visited international family. Thanks to the hard work of trainers and the efforts of guys at the end of the workshop, they successfully produced 20 media – productions.
