Молодежь Таджикистана и Кыргызстана обсуждают приграничные проблемы

Crossing the border for young people in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan will become even easier. Residents of the border areas of Sughd and Batken regions gathered at a round table and received answers from representatives of the Border Service of Kyrgyzstan to their questions about the problems of crossing the border.

In Kulundu jamoat, with the participation of the youth contact group of Ovchi-Kalachi of B. Gafurov district and the border village of Leilek region, a round table was held with the initiative of the Public Foundation “For Tolerance International” in Kyrgyzstan in partnership with the Association of scientific and technical intelligentsia of Tajikistan. The meeting, which was aimed at strengthening friendly relations and social and economic cooperation among the residents of the border areas, gathered young people between the ages of 18 and 30.

The continuous questions of border guards, the creation of obstacles in the presence of goods or technique, the delay in the queue for the procedures for filing documents, the rules of use of domestic and foreign passports - these were topics that residents of neighboring countries drew attention to.

Kamoliddin Sattarov, a resident of Ovchi-kalacha village, works as an operator, and here's what he says: “Earlier, when I crossed the border with a video camera, I had no problems. It happens that in the season of weddings or last bell I cross the border ten times a month. Today I understand that the difficulties that arose in front of me are simple rules that everyone should know. While the creation of a family between two friendly nationalities is observed often. "

The authorized representatives Shamshibek Abdashev and Jamoliddin Abdirashidov stressed that the use of the internal passport in the border areas of the two neighboring countries will contribute to strengthening the friendship between the two countries and this is aimed at ensuring the security and stability of the peace of the two countries. Also, they noted that citizens can apply for advice on the rules of crossing the border to border points that operate 24 hours.

Mahmadyor Hasanov, representative of the Public Foundation For Tolerance International at the end of the meeting noted that in the border areas information boards will be installed on the rules of crossing the border.

After the round table, the participants visited the historical museum of the village of Kulundu.

It should be noted that the round table was held within the framework of the project “Strengthening cooperation between the youth of the border communities of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan” and on the project “Cross-border cooperation to strengthen sustainable peace and development” by UNDP Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan under the motto “Peaceful neighbors are good friends”.
