The beginning of the implementation of joint action plans
The youth of the target communities of the project, which was included in the Youth Contact Groups (YCG), began implementing activities in the framework of joint action plans, developed jointly with Kyrgyz peers during the two cross-border camps. The purpose of holding joint events is to establish friendly relations between the youth of the border communities of the two countries. Through the organization and implementation of these events, young people develop their leadership qualities, establish relations with local authorities.
One of the first to hold the event was the “World Chayhana”, members of the YCG from Vorukh, who received guests from the neighboring Kyrgyz village of Aksai. There were young people among the guests, members of YCG of Aksai, chairman of Aksai village, representatives of village activists, elders, and women.
During the meeting, members of YCG of Vorukh presented a joint action plan, discussed ways of its implementation with the participants. Guests received memorable gifts with a proposal “share a gift with a friend”. The quiz “What do you know about your neighbor?” held by the members of YCG was interesting and showed that the participants of the event know the history and modern life of each other well.
The event was held within the framework of the project “Strengthening cooperation of youth in the border communities of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan” implemented by PO ASTI with the support of UNDP Tajikistan.
