Carriers of Culture
Within the framework of small grants program of the project “Peace and cooperation begins with us”, financed by the UN Children's Fund - UNICEF, an event was held in the Vorukh jamoat of Isfara town on April 25, 2017 in the form of a scientific and literary conference under the title “Farhangovaron”, which means carriers of culture. The event was held at school # 23 of Vorukh jamoat. The event was attended by guests from Ak-Sai village of Kyrgyzstan. Also a vulnerable youth group was involved at the event. The purpose of the event was to attract young people to the cultural and social life and to familiarize the inhabitants of Kyrgyzstan with the culture of the Tajik people. The chosen theme of the event was “Life and activities of Jaloliddin Rumi”. At the event, the children read poems from the work of Jaloliddin Rumi, showed performances, girls and boys of the school performed dances, and at the end a quiz was held, the winners of which were awarded memorable gifts.Guests from Kyrgyzstan were also awarded valuable gifts. At the end of the event the guests expressed their gratitude for the invitation. A teacher from Kyrgyzstan, Malabekova Makhburet, said: “Tajiks are our neighbors and in order to become closer, such activities should be carried out frequently”.
