STRENGTHENING COOPERATION OF YOUTH IN BORDER COMMUNITIES OF TAJIKISTAN AND KYRGYZSTAN
Batken Youth Contact Group in March 2017 planned to conduct hashars with the participation of representatives of communities of neighboring villages from the jamoats of Isfara town.
The members of the YCG worked out the program of the event; they chose the Youth Center of Chorkuh to hold the event, the administration of which supported the initiative of the youth. The guys from YCG of Chorkuh contacted the members of YCG of Samarkandek and Pasky-aryk villages of Batken district of Kyrgyzstan and invited girls of Samarkandak and Pasky-aryk to participate in the contest.
At the event, the young people of four neighboring villages presented to residents and representatives of local government structures a joint action plan, which was developed during the cross-border camp in January 2017.
The purpose of holding joint events is to establish friendly relations between the youth of the border communities of the two countries. Through the organization and implementation of these events, young people develop their leadership qualities, establish relations with local authorities.
At these meetings, the potential and opportunities of young people, members of the YCG are studied, for the implementation of joint action plans developed.
